Westmoreland English Hobnail Amber Round Compote Depression Glass

Introduced by the Westmorland Glass Company in the 1920's. This was Westmorland's most successful pattern, and longest produced, having been made right up until the factory closed in 1985. This pattern helped to keep Westmorland in business through the Depression era.

This pressed glass compote measures 7 3/4" wide x 5 1/2" high and weighs 1 pound 10 ounces. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. The cone shaped bowl sits on a pedestal with an octagon shaped base.

Almost every item I sell is used and may have some wear from age. I try my best to accurately describe the item. This piece is both functional and ornamental.
