Plymouth George Washington Vintage 8 Day Wall Mount Banjo Clock from the 1920's
A classic American "banjo" clock is signed "Plymouth." Dating from about 1920. It is an 8-day movement clock in working condition - striking on the hour and the half hour. The instructions for setting winding and setting the clock are still stapled to the backside. It should be professionally cleaned and set for everyday use.
The reverse painted glass is intact, depicting George Washington and his home in Mount Vernon. The mahogany and birch case has a finish in very good condition, there are brass mounts and a cast eagle finial on top. Measurements of this antique timepiece are approximately 29" tall, 10" wide and 4" deep. It weighs 7 pounds before being boxed for shipment.
