Vintage highchair that converts to a stroller. Made by the Waite Chair Company in the early 1900's. Waite Chair Company was located in Baldwinville, MA. The design for the chair was patented on December 4, 1903.
I have provided before and after pictures. My husband thought I was crazy when I purchased this at an estate auction. He obviously couldn't visualize the finished product, like I did.
It was missing the footrest, which we made. The hardware for locking the tray in place is not complete. The hardware is on the side of the tray, but the rod connecting to each side that locks it in place is missing. If you send me a message, I can provide additional pictures of the locking rod and hardware.
Aside from that, it is functional with its original cast wheels. The caning on the seat has been replaced. The chair has been hand sanded, stained, and varnished with multiple coats for a beautiful shine.
A labor of love and a work of art, back then and now!
